Underwater Heritage

As soon as the artefacts are removed from the water, they are taken in charge to ensure their preservation and conservation on board the excavation ship. The first stages of conservation are then carried out on the site itself. Additional treatments, requiring heavier equipment, are carried out on land, in local laboratories. A selection of the objects shown on this site have been presented either in exhibitions or in publications.
